Obverse description Youthful laureate head of Apollo facing right, rendered in fine archaic-transitional style with wavy locks of hair swept back from the brow and falling in full curls behind the neck. The facial features are delicately modeled with a straight nose and slightly parted lips. The laurel wreath encircling the head is characteristic of Sikyonian Apollo types of the fourth century BC.
