Obverse description Head of Herakles facing right, wearing the lion skin headdress, the scalp and forelegs knotted at the throat, rendered in high relief in the Hellenistic style characteristic of late 4th-century Macedonian bronze coinage. The facial features are boldly modelled with a strong jaw and prominent brow. The field is plain, with no inscription on the obverse.
