| Opis rewersu | A quadripartite incuse square dominates the reverse, divided into four recessed triangular sections by two diagonal grooves intersecting at the centre, creating the characteristic mill-sail or windmill pattern. The incuse is deeply struck and irregular in outline, reflecting the hand-hammered technique employed at Kyzikos during the early fifth century BC. The surface within the incuse sections retains a rough texture typical of archaic Greek electrum coinage. No legend or additional device is present. |
