| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four rectangular compartments by raised ridges meeting at the centre, forming a windmill or pinwheel pattern. Each of the four sections is recessed and displays a striated or granular texture from the punch, alternating in relief and inclination in a manner typical of early Greek coinage technique. No inscription or subsidiary device is present. This standard incuse reverse is characteristic of electrum fractions struck at Kyzikos during the late Archaic period. |
