| Obverse description | Facing head of a lion rendered in archaic style, with prominent mane depicted as radiating striations around the skull, deeply set eyes, and a snarling open muzzle with visible fangs. Immediately below the lion's head, a tunny fish (tuna) is shown in left profile, serving as the characteristic civic badge of Kyzikos. The design is boldly modelled in high relief against an unadorned field, displaying the vigorous engraving characteristic of early fifth-century Kyzikene coinage. |

| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square divided into four recessed compartments by raised diagonal ridges meeting at the centre, creating alternating deeply-sunk and slightly raised triangular sections. The incuse punch is irregular in outline, conforming to the flan shape, and exhibits the coarse granular texture typical of hammered electrum coinage of the early Classical period. No legend or additional devices are present. |
