| Descrizione del rovescio | Quadripartite incuse square of mill-sail or windmill pattern, formed by four recessed rectangular compartments separated by raised diagonal ridges meeting at a central point, characteristic of the standard reverse type employed on electrum coinage of Kyzikos throughout the fifth and fourth centuries BC. The incuse design, a hallmark of early Greek hammered coinage, is deeply struck and irregular in outline, conforming to the uneven shape of the flan. The four sunken panels show a rough, granular surface texture typical of the hammered electrum fabric. No legend or additional device is present. |
