| Reverse description | Quadripartite incuse square of windmill or mill-sail type, deeply impressed into the flan, with four recessed rectangular compartments arranged symmetrically around a central dividing cross. The incuse is boldly struck and irregular in outline, consistent with early Archaic hammered coinage technique. The reverse bears no inscription or subsidiary device, the entire design consisting solely of the characteristic geometric incuse punch used by the Kyzikos mint during this period. |
