Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized lion of Brabant in high relief, rendered in the Gothic heraldic tradition, facing left with rampant posture and detailed mane. The lion is surrounded by a beaded inner circle, beyond which an ornate outer border features alternating lobed arches enclosing rosettes and small heraldic devices. The overall design is characteristic of 14th-century Brabantine billon coinage, with the peripheral decoration forming a continuous decorative wreath around the central charge. The legend + MONETA BRABANT runs within the inner margin in uncial Latin characters.
