| Beschrijving voorzijde | A large crowned Irish harp occupies the central field, its forepillar terminating in a decorative carved head. Flanking the harp are two small crowned royal initials: the Gothic letter H to the left and the Gothic letter K to the right, each surmounted by a separate crown, referencing Henry VIII and Katherine Howard. The whole central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential Latin legend running between the inner and outer borders of the flan. The strike is characteristic of mid-Tudor hammered silver coinage, with slightly irregular planchet edges typical of the period. |
