Reverse description Long cross pattée extending to the inner beaded circle, dividing the reverse into four quadrants, each containing three pellets arranged in a triangular formation. A double inner circle frames the central cross design. The surrounding Latin legend, reading in two arcs separated by the cross terminals, proclaims the issuing city of Dublin. The reverse follows the standard late medieval groat type common to both English and Irish issues of the period, with the inscription distributed across the four quadrant sections separated by the limbs of the cross.
