| Obverse description | A griffin sejant facing left occupies the central field, its wings raised and body rendered in fine detail characteristic of late medieval hammered goldwork. The griffin supports with its forepaws a quartered heraldic shield bearing the arms of Bavaria-Palatinate. The design is set within a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential legend reading in Gothic uncial lettering. The overall composition reflects the chivalric aesthetic common to Rhenish and Low Countries gold coinage of the late 14th and early 15th centuries. |

| Reverse description | The reverse features an ornate, floriated triple cross with elaborate foliage terminals, occupying the full field. Rampant lions are placed in each of the four angles formed by the cross arms, a heraldic motif associated with the County of Loon. At the centre of the cross, a small shield bearing the arms of Bavaria is set within a quadrilobe frame. The design is enclosed by a beaded inner circle, with the circumferential devotional legend in Gothic uncial characters surrounding the entire composition. |
