| Beschrijving voorzijde | Highly stylised and abstracted derivative of the Macedonian gold stater head of Apollo, rendered in the late Celtic geometric tradition. A cross formed by two intersecting wreath bands divides the field into four quadrants, with back-to-back outline crescents placed at the centre of the intersection. Wing-like or leaf-shaped pellet ornaments occupy the angles of the wreath cross. No central spike is present. The design is executed in low relief with characteristic Iron Age British schematisation. |

A wing motif is positioned above the horse's back. Beneath the horse, a prominent six-spoked wheel with a central axle hub serves as the principal reverse symbol and the type's diagnostic feature. A wreath or pellet chain fills the lower field in place of an exergual line. An elliptical or oval pellet arrangement appears in the field behind the horse. |
