A prominent central motif suggestive of a palm frond or fan-shaped hair feature dominates the flan, flanked by sweeping curved lines representing facial contours. The design is characteristic of the Late Iron Age Celtic artistic tradition, in which naturalistic Hellenistic imagery has been progressively transformed into near-geometric abstract forms.
