| Reverse description | Facing bust of the co-emperor Constantine, son of Leo V, depicted crowned and clean-shaven, wearing the imperial chlamys and holding a globus cruciger in his right hand. The inscription KONCT is positioned to the left and C-I to the right of the figure, identifying the junior co-ruler. The reverse design follows the standard Byzantine provincial format of paired imperial portraits issued from the Syracuse mint, rendered in the characteristic flat and somewhat schematic style of the period. |
