The inscription KONCT is positioned to the left and C-I to the right of the figure, identifying the junior co-ruler. The reverse design follows the standard Byzantine provincial format of paired imperial portraits issued from the Syracuse mint, rendered in the characteristic flat and somewhat schematic style of the period. |
