Obverse description Central field depicts the iconic Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) emblem of the Qajar dynasty: a lion passant facing left in the foreground, with a radiant sun rising behind its back. The design is framed by a wreath of stylized leaves and branches. A Persian inscription or numeral appears in the lower portion of the field. The strike is characteristically irregular, consistent with hand-hammered copper coinage of the early Qajar period.
