| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script proclaiming the royal titulature of Sultan Kay Khusraw I (Kaykhusraw I) of the Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm. The legend is arranged horizontally across the flan in two or three lines, filling the field. The coin is struck on an irregular, somewhat dumpy flan characteristic of Anatolian Seljuk copper coinage of the late 12th century, with a plain dotted border (grenetis) encircling the inscription. |
