| Reverse description | Lion passant to left in the central field, mirroring the obverse type, executed in the same schematic hammered style with a pellet eye and raised foreleg. A surrounding circular Arabic legend records the mint name and the Hijri year written out in full words. The reverse field is flat and unadorned aside from the central lion device. The coin exhibits the irregular flan edges and uneven strike typical of Mamluk provincial copper production at the Halab (Aleppo) mint. |
