Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription contained within a circular border, reading the titles and name of the ruling sultan al-Malik al-Nāṣir Muhammad and the mint name Ṭarābulus (Tripoli). The legend is executed in a bold, angular Naskh script characteristic of Mamluk copper coinage. A decorative element, identified as an acorn or gland motif, accompanies the inscription. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped at the edges, as typical of hammered Mamluk fulus. The overall striking is moderately sharp with some weakness in the peripheral areas.
