Obverse description Central field bears a three-line Arabic inscription within a plain linear border. The inscription likely references the sultan al-Nāṣir Muhammad. An outer border of small diamonds is contained between two concentric circular lines, forming a decorative pellet-and-ring frame typical of Mamluk copper coinage. The overall design is characteristic of the hammered fals issues of the Mamluk period, with slightly irregular flan edges.
