| Reverse description | The reverse field bears a single-line Arabic mint inscription reading 'Tarablus' (Tripoli), identifying the place of issue as the Mamluk provincial mint at Tripoli in present-day Lebanon. The legend is struck in bold relief across the center of the flan in the characteristic Mamluk cursive style. The flan edges are uneven and ragged, consistent with hand-cut planchets typical of hammered provincial Mamluk copper coinage. The surface retains an olive-brown patina with areas of earthen deposits. |
