The lettering is arranged in horizontal registers across the field, with raised Arabic characters showing the typical bold, utilitarian engraving style of Mamluk provincial copper issues. The flan is irregular with uneven edges characteristic of hand-cut copper planchets. Patination is dark olive-brown with areas of green cuprite corrosion. |
