Reverse description A lion passant left occupies the central field, rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Mamluk animal coinage. The lion is depicted in profile with head facing forward, tail raised, and all four legs shown in a walking posture. The figure is set within a plain circular border that follows the contour of the irregular flan. The die work is typical of the provincial Hamah mint, showing a slightly crude but vigorous execution common to copper fals of this era.
