| Reverse description | Quartered shield of Castile and León divided by a bold plain cross extending to the inner circle, with castles (for Castile) in the first and fourth quarters and rampant lions (for León) in the second and third quarters, all rendered in high relief in the hammered gold style. The cross potent terminates at the inner beaded circle, and small ornamental devices appear at the quadrant intersections. The circumferential Latin legend, separated from the central design by an inner beaded circle and bounded by an outer beaded border, proclaims the royal title of Enrique IV by the grace of God, King of Castile. |
