Obverse description Left-facing portrait bust of Emmanuel Gisquiere wearing a clerical skullcap, in high relief occupying the central field. The legend EMMANUEL GISQUIERE arcs along the upper rim, while the lower portion reads 49STE ABT VAN AVERBODE (1942 - 1967), identifying him as the 49th abbot of the Abbey of Averbode during those years.
