Reverse description The reverse reproduces the back design of the 1929 Norges Bank 50-kroner banknote in high relief, with three oval cameos set against a fine engine-turned ground: to the left a crowned medieval Viking king in profile bust, at centre the Eidsvoll building (where the Norwegian Constitution was signed in 1814) depicted in landscape view, and to the right a rosette of regional Norwegian coats of arms surrounding a central crowned shield. The legend 'NORGES BANK 50 50' arcs across the top and 'FEMTI-KRONER' appears prominently across the lower field, all within an elaborate scrollwork border with the numeral 50 in each corner.
