Reverse description Central fire altar depicted in the standard Sasanian type, flanked by two attendant figures standing in symmetrical posture, each facing inward toward the altar. In the upper left field, a pellet is placed between two crescents; in the upper right field, a crescent surmounts a pellet. The mint signature AWH — identifying the mint of Hormuz Ardashir (modern Ahvaz, Iran) — appears in Pahlavi script in the right field. A two-word Inscriptional Pahlavi legend, TWLY YZDKLTY, meaning 'Fire of Yazdgerd,' is inscribed in the field.
