Reverse description Bust of Shapur IV facing right, depicted wearing a distinctive crested helmet adorned with a prominent crescent finial and beaded headband, with draped shoulders and a beaded necklace collar. The portrait is rendered in bold relief within a single beaded inner border, surrounded by a Pahlavi marginal legend identifying the prince as Great King of the Armenians. A palm branch or standard motif appears to the left of the bust in the field, a feature characteristic of this sub-series. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded outer border following the irregular flan edge.
