| Descrizione del dritto | Facing right bust of Yazdgard I set upon a floral ornament, depicted wearing a mural crown surmounted by a frontal crescent and korymbos. A two-letter Pahlavi inscription, reading 'lw' or 'rw', appears in the field immediately behind the royal effigy. A double-line Pahlavi legend occupies the right field, framing the portrait in typical Sasanian fashion. The rendering reflects the highly stylized yet regally assured portraiture characteristic of early fifth-century Sasanian die engraving. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | A Zoroastrian fire altar with pendant ribbons occupies the center of the design, flanked symmetrically by two standing attendants facing the sacred flame in a devotional posture. Pahlavi inscriptions appear to the left and right of the flames as well as along the altar shaft, recording the ruler's name and mint or regnal data in accordance with standard Sasanian reverse conventions. The composition is rendered in the crisp, schematic style typical of Sasanian hammered silver coinage of the early fifth century AD. |
