Reverse description A fully open rose of Rhodes, depicted with broad petals and a prominent central bud, set within a raised incuse square (plinthophorion) characteristic of the late Rhodian drachm series. The magistrate's name ΞΕΝΟΚΡΑΤΗΣ (Xenokrates) is inscribed above the rose along the upper border of the incuse square. The ethnic P-O (rho-omicron), abbreviating ΡΟΔΙΩΝ (of the Rhodians), appears flanking the lower field, with a lyre visible in the left field as a secondary control symbol. The composition is well-centred within the square, with the rose filling the design space in high relief.
