Obverse description Draped bust of Wahram V facing right, portrayed with a bearded effigy enclosed within a double beaded border. The king wears a distinctive mural crown surmounted by a korymbos — the characteristic Sasanian globe of hair — set upon a crescent. Ribbons and elaborate regalia are visible at the shoulder. The portrait is rendered in the highly stylized late Sasanian tradition, with fine die-engraving conveying royal authority. A Pahlavi inscription appears in the field, identifying the ruler.
