Obverse description Bust of Wahram IV in right-facing profile, wearing the distinctive Sasanian royal crown surmounted by a globe and crescent, with elaborate ribbons and a korymbos (hair bundle) above. The king is depicted with a short curled beard and prominent earring, dressed in beaded necklace and royal robes. A dentilated border encircles the field. Pahlavi inscriptions appear to the right and left of the royal effigy, identifying the king and his titles.

The entire scene is enclosed within a dentilated border, with Pahlavi inscriptions in the field identifying the mint and regnal year.
