Reverse description Central fire altar with pendant ribbons flanked by two attendant figures, as is standard on Sasanian drachms. The Pahlavi mintmark 'AW', corresponding to Hormuz Ardashir (modern Ahvaz), appears to the left of the altar shaft, mirroring its placement on the obverse. The altar and attendant composition is rendered in the conventional Sasanian style, with the sacred flame depicted rising from the altar bowl. Additional Pahlavi regnal inscriptions occupy the surrounding field.
