Pakoros II ruled as a regional king under Vologases III for much of his reign, which complicates attribution — several rulers named Pakoros issued coinage during the late Parthian period, and the chronology was significantly revised following David Sellwood's typological work. The Sellwood 73 series helped untangle decades of misattribution that had conflated his issues with those of Vologases III and Osroes I.
These drachms were struck at Ecbatana, the primary mint for eastern Parthian silver during this period.
