| Obverse description | Diademed and bearded bust of Mithridates I facing right, rendered in a Hellenistic artistic tradition with finely detailed wavy hair swept back beneath the diadem. The portrait displays a short, well-defined beard and strong facial features characteristic of early Parthian royal portraiture. The king is depicted with a draped shoulder visible at the bust truncation. No legend appears on the obverse, with the field left plain around the royal effigy. The flan exhibits slight irregularity consistent with hand-hammered production at the Seleucia on the Tigris mint. |
