| Reverse description | The archer god or royal figure, identified as Arsaces I in deified form, is depicted seated right upon an omphalos, clad in Parthian dress with a pointed helmet or bashlyk, holding a strung bow in the right hand. A dynastic monogram appears in the outer left field. The encircling Greek legend reads ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ, running around the periphery of the coin. The design reflects the standard Arsacid reverse type employed throughout the early Parthian dynastic series, combining Hellenistic compositional conventions with distinctly Iranian royal iconography. |
