| Obverse description | Bare-headed, diademed and bearded bust of Mithridates I facing right, rendered in high relief in the Hellenistic tradition. The king wears a soft diadem tied at the rear, with long flowing hair dressed in parallel striations falling behind the neck. The prominent aquiline profile, full beard, and naturalistic modeling of the facial features are characteristic of early Parthian royal portraiture. The bust is set within a beaded border that frames the entire obverse field. |

| Reverse description | The archer-king Arsaces I seated right upon an omphalos, depicted in three-quarter view wearing a bashlyk (soft Parthian cap) and royal robes with ornate drapery. The figure holds a strung bow in the right hand, with the left hand resting on the knee, in the standard dynastic reverse type adopted by the Arsacid dynasty. A royal monogram appears in the outer left field. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ encircles the reverse field, reading 'of the Great King Arsaces.' The design is contained within a plain border. |
