A spear leans against her left shoulder. The royal legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ runs along the left and right fields in Greek characters, with the mint control letter M visible in the lower field, identifying the Mytilene mint. The composition is vigorous and characteristic of the Lysimachean drachm series struck at Mytilene. |
