| Description de l’avers | Diademed head of the deified Alexander III of Macedon facing right, rendered in the idealized Hellenistic portrait style with flowing locks of hair swept back from the forehead. A prominent horn of Ammon curves from behind the ear, signifying Alexander's divine status as son of Zeus-Ammon. The diadem is tied at the nape of the neck with its ends falling behind, and the finely modelled facial features display the characteristic slightly upward gaze associated with posthumous portraits of Alexander. The field is plain, with no legend on the obverse. |

| Description du revers | Athena Nikephoros seated left on a throne, wearing helmet and aegis, her right hand extended forward presenting a winged Nike who crowns the royal legend; her left arm rests upon a large round shield decorated with a lion's head boss. A transverse spear leans against her left shoulder behind the figure. In the inner left field appears a monogram, and to the outer left a maeander (meander) pattern serves as a mint control symbol. The Greek legend ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ, meaning 'of King Lysimachus', is arranged in two lines in the right field. |
