| Description du revers | Within a circular wreath of vine leaves and bunches of grapes, the Heraklean attributes of a knotted club set vertically to the left and a strung bow in its case to the right are displayed side by side. The magistrate's name ΗΡΟΔΩΡΟΣ and his patronymic ΔΙΟΝΥΣΙΟΥ are inscribed in two vertical columns flanking the club, while the civic ethnic EPY appears to the left. The entire composition is enclosed within the vine wreath border, referencing the Dionysiac cult connections of the city of Erythrai. |
