Reverse description Fire altar depicted at centre, the shaft of the altar bearing a bust of Bahram V facing right, referencing the king's divine association with Zoroastrian sacred fire. The altar is flanked on each side by a standing attendant-priest facing inward, each bearing a barsom — a bundle of sacred twigs used in Zoroastrian ritual. Pahlavi inscriptions appear in the left and right fields, recording the king's name and titles. The composition adheres closely to the canonical Sasanian reverse type established in the late third century and continued through the dynasty.
