| Reverse description | A stepped Zoroastrian fire altar with a flaming, torch-like fire issuing from its cup occupies the center of the field, with two ribbons or sacred bands hanging from the altar shaft. Two royal attendants or fire priests stand facing inward on either side of the altar, each rendered in profile with detailed robes and headdress. Small subsidiary devices, including what appear to be palm branches or fire symbols, are visible in the lower field beside each attendant. A Pahlavi legend is present in the field, typically indicating the regnal year and mint. |
