Obverse description Radiate head of Helios rendered in high relief, depicted in three-quarter facing view turned slightly to the right, a characteristic Rhodian artistic convention. The god's youthful, idealized face is framed by flowing, wavy hair that spreads outward symmetrically across the field, conveying a sense of solar emanation. The modeling of the facial features is accomplished with considerable sculptural finesse, reflecting the high standard of Rhodian die engraving during the early second century BC. No legend or additional device appears on the obverse.

Reverse description A rose in full bloom with a single bud to the right, serving as the civic badge of Rhodes, occupies the central field. The magistrate's name ΑΡΙΣΤΑΚΟΣ is inscribed above the rose, while the ethnic abbreviation Ρ and Ο flank the stalk on either side. A caduceus is positioned in the left field as a secondary symbol. The composition follows the standard Rhodian plinthophoric drachm reverse type of this period.
