| Obverse description | Radiate head of Helios facing three-quarters right, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with flowing curly hair framing the face and prominent sun rays radiating outward from the crown of the head. The facial features are well-modelled, with a smooth youthful countenance, slightly parted lips, and a sensitively rendered eye. The hair falls in naturalistic waves behind and below the ear, merging with the radiating spikes above. The field is plain, with no legend or exergual inscription. |

| Reverse description | A rose in full bloom occupies the central field, with a budding rose stem emerging to the right, both rendered in fine relief as the principal emblem of Rhodes. The ethnic abbreviation Ρ and Ο flanks the rose on either side. Below and to the left, a serpent is depicted coiled upon an omphalos. The magistrate's name ΑΝΑΞΙΔΟΤΟΣ is inscribed above the rose in Greek letters. The entire design is contained within a shallow square incuse, characteristic of the Rhodian plintophoric series. |
