The facial features are boldly struck, displaying a strong profile with well-defined brow, eye, and chin. The folds and texture of the lion skin are rendered with characteristic detail typical of the Colophon mint's die-cutting tradition. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Zeus Aëtophoros enthroned to the left upon a backless throne, his upper body nude, with a himation draped over his lower limbs. In his extended right hand he holds an eagle, and in his left hand a long scepter. The field to the right bears the ethnic legend ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ in Greek characters, with control marks in the left field and below the throne. The composition follows the standard Alexandrine type established under Alexander III and continued posthumously by successor mints. |
