| Beschrijving voorzijde | Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Postumus facing right, portrayed with strong, realistic features characteristic of third-century Roman provincial portraiture. The emperor wears a radiate crown, indicating the double-sestertius denomination. The obverse legend IMP C M CASS LAT POSTVMVS P F AVG runs clockwise around the bust, partially visible on this irregularly struck flan. The overall execution is bold, with the bust occupying the central field in a style typical of the Trier mint output under Postumus. |
