| Obverse description | Central field features a multi-line Arabic religious legend arranged in concentric registers within a beaded inner circle. The shahada and Quranic inscriptions are presented in angular Kufic script across several horizontal lines. A secondary circular legend in Arabic surrounds the central inscription within a defined annular band. An outer marginal legend in Kufic script runs along the full circumference of the coin, separated by a beaded border. The overall design is characteristic of Abbasid hammered silver dirhams of the late 9th century. |
