| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field enclosed within a rectilinear square frame bearing the sultan's titulature in four lines of bold Arabic script, naming Kaykhusraw (Kayka'us I) ibn Qilij Arslan and invoking the authority of the Abbasid caliph. Above the central square, an additional inscription panel carries the honorific epithet of the sultan. The circular marginal legend running between the beaded inner border and the outer rim identifies the reigning Abbasid caliph al-Nasir li-Din Allah, Commander of the Faithful, affirming the coin's legitimacy within the Islamic political framework. The reverse design mirrors the obverse in its strictly epigraphic, aniconic calligraphic style characteristic of Seljuq of Rum coinage. |
