| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse field is filled entirely with a multi-line Arabic inscription in a loose, cursive Naskh style, distributed across several horizontal registers. The legend records the mint city of Azaq (modern Azov) and the regnal year of issue, following the standard formulaic layout of Golden Horde coinage of this period. The script exhibits the characteristic flowing, somewhat compressed letterforms associated with late-fourteenth-century Jochid mint production. Decorative pellets or dot separators are interspersed between words in the field. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, causing partial truncation of the legend at the edges. |
