Dirham - al-Zahir Jaqmaq

正面描述	Central field features a square cartouche with decorative border enclosing the sultan's name and titles in Arabic script, arranged in multiple lines. Small star-like ornaments appear in the corners of the cartouche and in the surrounding field. The inscription identifying the ruler al-Zahir Jaqmaq occupies the central register within the frame. The flan is irregularly shaped and slightly concave, as is characteristic of hammered Mamluk silver coinage. The legends are struck in a bold, angular hand typical of late Mamluk epigraphic style.

背面描述	The reverse bears a bold two-line Arabic religious inscription divided by a horizontal rule across the center of the flan. The upper portion carries the first part of the Shahada and the lower portion the second, rendered in large, deeply struck Thuluth-style script. The inscription fills the entire field with minimal decorative elements, consistent with standard Mamluk dirham reverses of the fifteenth century. The flan edges are irregular due to the hand-hammered production method. The strike is moderately well-centered with some weakness at the periphery.
